Sydney– 20 June 2013 – Hilton Sydney’s internationally acclaimed Zeta Bar evokes dramatic mystique with the launch of its new cocktail concept ‘Alto Tango’ – translation ‘High Tango’. Delve into the romance and seduction of the world’s only UNESCO heritage listed dance – Tango - presented with a side of Zeta Bar’s friskiness.

Dancing its way every Friday from 12 July, Zeta Bar will be transformed into an experiential venue reminiscent of the glamour of 1930s Buenos Aires. A sensual, social, captivating place with bespoke cocktails, delightful South American inspired food, and improv entertainment. This is what guests can expect to see, hear and taste at ‘Alto Tango’, the perfect spot to while away a winter’s Friday night.

Guided through the evolution of Tango, guests will enjoy dancing silhouettes who will express stories depicting seduction, jealousy and rivalry between two men and a woman. Guests will be further immersed in the authentic sounds of Tango presented by Sydney’s most renowned Tango performers, ‘Fuego Blanco’ guided by Maggie Ferguson – all graduates of Sydney’s Conservatorium of music and The University of NSW. The traditions will be juxtaposed with Zeta Bar’s resident DJ mixing ‘electro-tango’ beats, the ever popular body art live statue, a timeless photo booth and lively light projections.

For an extra special treat, performing for one night only on 19 July, get up close and personal with World Champion Tango dancers Daniel Nacucchio and Cristina Sosa*. Guests can also sign up for Tango lessons at Zeta Bar on July 20 and 21.

‘Alto Tango’ has been choreographed by the Zeta Bar team in conjunction with renowned mixologist, Russ McFadden from Behind Bars. ‘Alto Tango’ seamlessly combines molecular mixology and classic cocktails. The quirky list features carefully crafted cocktails including Chimichurri Shrub, Two to Tango, Malbec Mulled Wine, Sangria and a selection of Argentine wines and beers.

Russ said, “Zeta Bar is renowned for pioneering innovative cocktail concepts. ‘Alto Tango’ at Zeta is a quirky and interactive way to showcase the talent of our mixologists. We always have fun showcasing to our guests the creative construction and inspirations that goes behind creating the Zeta cocktail concepts.”

‘Alto Tango’s’ food offering packs an impressive punch with Hilton Sydney’s executive chef, Carl Middleton promising to romance patron’s palates with a mouth-watering exploration of traditional South American cuisine ranging from a deconstructed choripan served with chimichurri and salsa criolla, empanadas and for the sweet tooth delectable Alfajores.

Adding to the experience, guests who successfully participate in Zeta Bar’s social media competition will have the opportunity to win a trip for two to Buenos Aires – flying LAN and staying at Hilton Buenos Aires**.

Ex WWE World Heavyweight Champion wrestler / pro wrestling living legend, Mick Foley, and world class comedian Brendon Burns, are down under in Australia performing stand up comedy together, and tonight they bodyslammed and kicked 'Sin City' Sydney in the nuts (in a good way).

Foley, who you probably know as Mankind, Cactus Jack or Dude Love from the squarded circle, is a New York Times bestselling author and has been doing stand-up comedy for over a year now, having performed with Burns at the Montreal Just for Laughs festival in 2012.

Burns, a passionate (and smart ass) wrestling fan met Foley on his UK tour and has joined him onstage for Good God Almighty!

Wrestling laughs, stories from the road and much more. You don't have to be a hard core wrestling fan to enjoy the show, but it will sure help.

We were bodyslammed and suplexed into laughter, with a bit of "Oh God" in the mix, after seen Mick get thrown off a steel cage. Then Mick tells the audience that his opponent "The Undertaker" asks him "Did it hurt"? (a bit of a pet peeve from Foley).

The Diamond Dallas Page story is a classic. DDP was running around in the hotel room with little more than a towel on, and Mick and his wrestling buddies decide to make it hell on earth for Page, by taunting him about his age and later making his bed unsleepable.

Mick and Brendon are genuinely funny and have a wonderful chemistry (and friendship) together. Maybe even "The Rock" would be a little jealous of the this tag-team. Oh, "The Rock" Rocky Maivia aka Dwayne Johnson (even cops a spray or two, as does Al Snow.

Get ready to be bodyslammed into laughter. WrestleMania might not be coming to Australia but this WrestleMania calibre headliner along with his funny as mate are here, so check em out, and as Mick says 'Have a nice day'!

Many thanks to everyone who helped make the event such a success, and we all look forward to seeing Mick Foley inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame at Madison Square Garden, New York, where Foley will also share the stage with other legends such as 'The Living Legend' Bruno Sammartino. Can't wait to hear the next round of Foley Foley Foley chants. Foley is (very) good.
